This project's goal was to develop an Escape Plan Standard for the entire organization. The new standard was applied to all the new escape plans being designed/made.

A long term project completed for Canada Navy's Fleet Maintenance Facility.

The standard I developed for this project was based on ISO 23601:2009. Defining the drawing standard for the entire Navy Base involved communication between sections and departments. It was necessary for all parties involved to agree on a design that was quick to read and relevant to the Navy Base's needs.

The final drawing standard was made easy to adjust for future escape route modifications. The drawing itself was also easy to generate for all the buildings on the Base.

The final part of the project was to implement the standard on all the existing escape plans and in new escape plans being made.

The final result also involved designing a green plastic holder that fulfilled ISO standards, was easy to modify for future escape plans, easy to mount, and pleasant to see. The final frame design shown in the photo to the left was made of plastic. The clear plastic sheet on the front allowed escape plans to be printed on paper and slipped right into the holder.

I concluded the project by finishing off all the escape plans for the Navy Base buildings.
